During the European Police Congress, Ekaterina Pavlichenko spoke about military challenges for the Ministry of Internal Affairs

Today, during the European Police Congress, which started in Berlin, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Kateryna Pavlichenko spoke about the security situation in the country and the challenges that changed the work of the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The European Police Congress is an annual international conference focused on issues of internal security of European countries and their cooperation in the field of law and order. This event brings together representatives from the police, security agencies, as well as experts from the private and public sectors.

According to the deputy, this year more than 29 thousand shelling of the territory of Ukraine has already been recorded. The largest number of them falls on the Zaporizhzhya region. The occupiers destroyed or damaged more than 15,000 civilian infrastructure facilities across the country.

“The Situation Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs collects all information about war crimes, consequences of enemy shelling, destruction of infrastructure, death and injury of our citizens around the clock. This information is used as evidence for international courts,” said Kateryna Pavlichenko.

Speaking about the work of the State Emergency Service, she noted that during the full-scale war, rescuers managed to save the lives of more than 5 thousand people.

The Deputy Minister also informed about the work of border guards and guards who are involved in the defense of the country as part of the Defense Forces.

Particular attention was paid to the issue of migration and protection of Ukrainian citizens. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Germany has received about 1.2 million Ukrainians. Currently, there are 3 centers of the state enterprise “Dokument” in the country. The functioning of such institutions allows citizens to issue or restore the necessary documents - a passport or ID card. Also get quality advice on migration issues.

In total, the units of the company “Document” in Poland, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany and Spain processed almost 900 thousand applications and issued more than 672 thousand passports of citizens of Ukraine.
