The first group of emergency rescuers arrived in Turkey to help with the aftermath of a powerful earthquake
Part of the consolidated detachment of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, which includes rescuers of the Mobile Rescue Rapid Response Center, firefighter-rescuers, medics, canine calculations of the Interregional Rapid Response Center, have already arrived at the airport of the city. The second group of rescuers follows the land route and will join colleagues immediately upon arrival at their destination.
Recall that 87 personnel, 18 units of equipment and 10 search and rescue dogs were sent to eliminate the effects of a powerful earthquake from Ukraine.
During a briefing at the Ukraine-Ukrinform Media Center, Volodymyr Demchuk, Director of the Emergency Response Department of the State Emergency Situations of Ukraine, noted that in accordance with the order of the Head of Service Sergey Kruk, the most trained specialists who know how to work during earthquakes, during the technical work were selected for this mission. genogenic blockages. The main task is the search and rescue of the surviving citizens under the rubble, providing them with first aid.
“The equipment that was formed as part of this detachment, as well as 10 search and rescue dogs, were sent to carry out effective search and rescue of people in the rubble. The team was previously mobilized for 10 days, but given the operational situation, there will be a separate decision as to how long it will be,” said Volodymyr Demchuk.
The teams are equipped with Starlink satellite terminals, drones, equipment and all the necessary equipment to carry out the tasks at the site of the search and rescue operation.
