They transported a 15-kilogram batch of amphetamine — in Kyiv police detained two drug dealers
According to the results of an urgent search of the violators' car, law enforcement officers seized 14 packages with a psychotropic substance - amphetamine. The seized prohibited substances were planned to be packaged in doses and sold in the capital. The accomplices were detained, they were informed of the suspicion.
The other day, during a curfew, officers of the Special Purpose Police Regiment No. 1 stopped a Renault car, which was carrying two men. During the inspection of the vehicle, police found packages with a powdery substance similar to amphetamine under the front seat. The investigative and operational team of the Solomensky Police Department arrived at the scene of the incident, which removed from the car 14 packages with a psychotropic, a total weight of 15 kilograms.
The 49-year-old driver and 32-year-old passenger, residents of the Dnipropetrovsk region, were detained by the police in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. According to the expert's conclusion, the withdrawn substance is amphetamine.
During the pre-trial investigation, police found that the defendants ordered a batch of banned substances over the Internet and planned to package the psychotropics into doses and sell them in the capital through bookmarks.
Investigators, under the procedural leadership of the Solomenskaya district prosecutor's office of the city. Kyiv informed the detainees about the suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — illegal acquisition, storage, transportation for the purpose of sale of a psychotropic substance in particularly large quantities, according to a preliminary conspiracy of a group of persons. The court chose preventive measures for the defendants in the form of non-alternative detention. They face up to twelve years in prison with confiscation of property.
