Escapees were transported abroad, a wanted robber and men who tried to illegally enter Romania: how the day passed with the border guards
Eleven men tried to illegally enter Romania over the past 24 hours, in Transcarpathia law enforcement officers detected traffickers transporting men in military service across the border, and at the border with Poland border guards found a Ukrainian who was wanted. This happened during the registration of the minibus, which was traveling from Poland through the checkpoint “Ugriniv”.
In the course of passport control in relation to a 61-year-old man, a database on his search by law enforcement agencies was activated. It turned out - the citizen is wanted by the National Police in the Volyn region within the framework of criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 186 CCU “Robbery combined with penetration into a dwelling, other premises or storage, causing significant harm to the victim.”
Border guards established that the man had gone abroad even before he was declared wanted by law enforcement. The attacker was transferred to the competent authorities.
In addition, eleven men of conscription age tried to illegally enter Romania last day. Four residents of Sumy region and two residents of Ivano-Frankivsk region were stopped near the border by the border outfits of the Solotvino branch. Two more men from Ternopil region, one from Zaporizhia region and one from Dnipropetrovsk region tried to bypass border guards at the area of responsibility of the “Business” department.
Another speedster from Rivne region tried to reach Romania through a mountainous area. He was detained near the border by the border outfit of the Velyatino branch. Detainees have drawn up protocols on administrative offenses, provided for in Art. 204-1 KUPAP “Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine”, cases were sent to court.
In addition, in Transcarpathia, law enforcement officers exposed dealers who transported men in military service across the border. The work was organized by two residents of the Tyachiv district of the Transcarpathian region. They searched for persons of conscription age, gave them temporary shelter, brought them to the border by their own transport and transported outside checkpoints to Romania.
One of the carriers was exposed during the transfer of part of the illegal reward of $5,500 to him, the other at the place of residence. Three of their “clients” were found and detained by law enforcement officers 200 meters from the border, in an abandoned building. The men were waiting for “permission” to move in the direction of the border.
Law enforcement officers conducted searches and seized items and materials that may be evidence of illegal activities of shippers.
Criminal proceedings are opened under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code. In case of proving the guilt of Transcarpathians in court, they face punishment in the form of imprisonment for a period of seven to nine years.
In total, on September 6, 81 thousand people and 20 thousand vehicles crossed the western borders of Ukraine with the EU and Moldova (in the Chernivtsi region). 43 thousand people left Ukraine. 26 thousand of them crossed the border with Poland, the rest followed to other EU countries and Moldova. 38 thousand people followed to Ukraine, 34 thousand of them - citizens of Ukraine. 100 trucks with humanitarian aid have been issued.
