Swim over Tisa on an inflatable “cheesecake”: the situation on the border (VIDEO)
In Transcarpathia, four men planned to swim across Tisa on an inflatable “cheesecake”. And with the help of an unmanned aircraft, border guards detained fourteen violators of the state border of conscription age in four cases.
Over the past week, border guards of the Mukachevo detachment prevented 34 attempts to violate the state border. As a result of the measures, 56 people were detained.
Most of the attempts were recorded on the Ukrainian-Romanian border. A total of 32 people were detained who tried to enter Romania illegally. The rest of the violators were stopped near the border with Hungary.
All detainees are men of conscription age. Most of them intended to cross the Tisa River. The water level there has risen in some places more than three meters in the past week.
So the day before, the border guards near the river found a group of men who had one inflatable circle for four. Detainees were two residents of Ivano-Frankivsk region, one resident of Kherson region and one resident of Kyiv region.
The men admitted that they had baited at the suggestion of shippers, who assured that the depth of the river at the place where they would be asked to cross it reaches a maximum of one meter. For greater confidence in their own abilities, the dealers “provided” their wards with an inflatable circle.
However, men did not know about the rapid flow and high water level in the river. Their lives were saved by the fact that they decided to cross the river in broad daylight and that on the way to the water barrier, 100 meters from the border, they were stopped by a border outfit.
For the services rendered, violators had to pay their “helpers between $2,500 and $4,800.
Currently, the unit's operatives study all the circumstances of the offenses and find out the circle of persons involved in organizing the transportation of men across the border.
Meanwhile, the border guards of the Podolsk detachment with the help of an unmanned aircraft detained fourteen violators of the state border of conscription age in four cases.
Near the village of Okny, in the Odessa region, border guards detained Ukrainian citizens who decided to illegally cross the state border and enter Moldova.
It turned out that these are residents of Kyiv, Donetsk, Sumy, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Rivne and Mykolaiv regions. Through the Internet, they contacted the organizers, who told them what they needed to do and indicated the routes. For this, each of the clients had to pay up to 2000 dollars.
In relation to all persons who tried to illegally enter abroad, protocols have been drawn up on their commission of administrative offenses, provided for in art. 204-1 KUPAP “Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine”.
In total, on October 27, 82 thousand people and 20 thousand vehicles crossed the western borders of Ukraine with the EU and Moldova (in the Chernivtsi region).
41 thousand people left Ukraine. 26 thousand of them crossed the border with Poland, the rest followed to other EU countries and Moldova.
Ukraine was followed by - 41 thousand people, 37 thousand of them - citizens of Ukraine.
