Switched to the side of the enemy: Donetsk and Kherson collaborators announced suspicion
In the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk and Kherson region, twelve former employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine voluntarily took up positions in local pseudo-law enforcement agencies of the enemy.
From the first days of the full-scale invasion, the internal security officers of the National Police expose collaborators who cooperate with the enemy in the occupied territories and occupy positions in illegal law enforcement agencies.
Thus, in the Donetsk region, the operatives of the Donetsk Department of Internal Security of the NPU and the investigators of the regional police, under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, established eight persons who voluntarily went to serve in the units of the illegal “Ministry of Internal Affairs” of the so-called “The Donetsk People's Republic.”
The police found out that the NDECC expert, the administrator of the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and a specialist of one of the sectors of the Donetsk police after the dismissal began to work in the “MREV No. 2”, where they perform the functions of the occupation authorities in the captured building of the regional service center of the Central Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Donetsk region.
Five men who in the past served in the Donetsk militia decided to make a career in the “People's Militia of the DPR”. One of the defectors, a former senior inspector on duty of the headquarters of the Proletarian District Department of the Donetsk MU of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Donetsk region, headed the “Krasnoliman City Department”. It is worth noting that in 2014 he was dismissed from the internal affairs bodies for violation of discipline.
But the employees of the Kherson department of the Department of Internal Security of NPU together with the investigator of the USBU in the Kherson region, under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, managed to collect the evidence base in order to bring to criminal responsibility for the fact of collaborative activity of four captured residents enemy territory of the Kherson region.
It was established that in May 2022, the ex-deputy head of one of the temporary detention centers and three former employees of the NDEKC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine at their own request took up positions in the “Kherson Scientific Research Expert Forensic Center at the GUMVD in Kherson region”. Thus, the defectors undertook to carry out examinations and research in the interests of the invader.
The illegal unit is led by a former policeman who encourages the local population to cooperate with the enemy and recruits the personnel for his new state. Three other defendants work in the specified unit in the positions of “Senior Forensic Expert of Handwriting Examinations”, “Head of the Laboratory of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, Drugs and Poisonous Substances, Explosives and Shot Products”, “Head of the Commodity and Hemological Expert Sector” Tizzy”.
At present, all traitors carry out criminal orders of the occupying authorities, support armed aggression against Ukraine and appear in propaganda plots of the TV channels of the aggressor country. They were declared in absentia on suspicion of part 7 of Art. 111-1 (Collaborative activity) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For working in the interests of the aggressor country in the temporarily occupied territories, twelve defendants face sentences of up to 15 years in prison.
