The “main transporter” of the occupation “Khersonoblenergo” will appear before the court
In June 2022, the occupation authorities created the so-called state enterprise “Hersonoblenergo”, in which a 53-year-old local resident voluntarily agreed to hold the position of head of the transport service.
During the temporary occupation of Kherson, a 53-year-old local resident voluntarily agreed to occupy one of the leading positions in the main energy enterprise of the region.
After the appointment, the attacker contributed in every possible way to the work of the institution “for the benefit” of the occupiers. The investigation qualified the wrongful actions of the defendant as aiding the aggressor state. Currently, the pre-trial investigation of the crime against the foundations of national security of Ukraine has been completed and the indictment is directed to the court.
Being in the “post”, the defendant in every possible way contributed to the implementation of the tasks and decisions of the occupation administration to ensure the delivery of electricity to the premises occupied by local authorities of the pseudo-government and Russian servicemen. In particular, the attacker carried out timely and uninterrupted provision by motor vehicles of the production structural units of the so-called DUP “Khersonoblenergo”, controlled the operation and repair of motor vehicles, organized the movement of vehicles and mechanisms between separate production structural units self-enterprise, provided the solution of personnel issues regarding the selection of drivers for vacant positions.
Also, on the instructions of the defendant, shortly before the de-occupation of Kherson, 12 units of vehicles that were on the balance sheet of the legitimate JSC “Khersonoblenergo” were illegally removed to the left bank. In addition, one of the passenger cars of the enterprise was transferred by an attacker for use by the military of the Russian Federation.
The actions of the pseudo-head of the transport service were qualified under Art. 111-2 “Assistance to the aggressor state” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The offender faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 10 to 12 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of 10 to 15 years and with or without confiscation of property.
