According to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, there have been more than 1 million forcibly displaced Ukrainians on the territory of Germany, who need to solve many issues with passport documents.

So today, as a result of fruitful cooperation of the State Migration Service, the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the capital of Germany, a separate division of the State Migration Service “Document” begins its work in a test mode.

In particular, the opening of a stationary citizen service center “Passport Service” in the city of Berlin will provide Ukrainians with valid passport documents, which will allow them to receive financial and humanitarian assistance, work permits, study and freely cross borders.

Citizen Service Center “Passport Service” in the city. Berlin is located at: Am Treptower Park 14, 12435 Berlin, floor 2.

Visitor service is carried out from Monday to Saturday inclusive from 9:00 to 18:00 in the “live” queue (the electronic queue will work a little later).

Here citizens will be able to get services such as:

· registration of an ID card or passport (including in place of a lost or stolen one);

· exchange of ID-card or passport (due to expiration of the validity period, change of information, unsuitability for use);

· exchange of a 1994 passport for an ID-card (on request or in case of invalidity);

· Simultaneous registration of passport and ID card;

· exchange of driver's license;

· insurance.

All up-to-date information on the work of the center in Berlin and advice on any issues you can get in private messages on the official page of the “Passport Service” on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/berlin.passport.service
