“Passport Service” starts its work in Italy
Due to the full-scale Russian aggression, thousands of Ukrainians — mostly elderly people, women and children — were forced to seek refuge abroad. To the numerous Ukrainian diaspora in the Italian Republic - more than 230 thousand people who before the war had a residence permit there, after February 24, 2022, about 180 thousand Ukrainians were added.
Therefore, in order to improve the conditions of stay of our citizens abroad, the State Migration Service of Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs introduces the work of mobile software and technical complexes of SE “Document” in the city of Milan.
This will allow our citizens to conveniently and quickly draw up or restore the necessary documents and, in turn, will open the possibility of receiving both financial and humanitarian assistance, as well as having social guarantees and crossing the borders of other countries without hindrance.
Currently, two mobile software and technical complexes of DP “Document” (specially equipped minibuses of white color with the symbol “Passport Service”) accept application forms for paperwork at the address: Fiordaliso shopping center Via E. Curiel, 25 (Via Eugenio Curiel, 25, 20089 Rozzano MI. Fiordaliso Commercial Center).
Over time, the number of such minibuses will increase.
Visitor service is carried out from Monday to Saturday inclusive, from 9:00 to 18:00.
For the period of testing the systems, the reception of citizens is carried out exclusively in the order of a live queue.
List of services for Ukrainians in Milan:
- registration of an ID card or passport (including in place of a lost or stolen one);
- exchange of ID-card or passport (due to expiration, change of information, unsuitability);
- exchange of a 1994 sample passport for an ID-card (on request or in case of invalidity);
- exchange of a permanent residence permit in Ukraine;
Please note that payment for services in mobile complexes is carried out on site using the online service (there is no cash payment). To do this, you need to have a smartphone and a bank card or its details.
DMS will continue to expand the geography of work of SE “Dokument” in other countries of the world. Recall that at present 12 centers “Passport Service” operate abroad. In addition to Milan, they are available in Poland (Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdańsk), Germany (Berlin, Cologne), Spain (Madrid, Valencia), the Czech Republic (Prague), Slovakia (Bratislava) and Turkey (Istanbul).
