Chernobyl nuclear power plant was guarded and captured: the commander of the National Guard met with the families of the military
The commander of the National Guard of Ukraine Brigadier General Alexander Pivnenko met with the relatives of servicemen who provided security for the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and were captured by the Russians in the spring of 2022.
During the meeting, a number of issues were raised regarding the liberation of the National Guardsmen from captivity and the resolution of problematic issues of family members. They also talked about the problems of those servicemen who managed to return from captivity.
Among the issues addressed are physical, psychological and social rehabilitation, financial and documentary aspects that require the interaction of the respective commanders and officials.
Family members present at the meeting thanked the command of the National Guard and the military unit for their assistance and resolution of problematic issues. In the last three months, this is the second meeting in a similar format.
