Citizens were searched for 175 million UAH: police in Bukovina reported suspicion to the owner of a building company
Operatives of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in the Chernivtsi region, together with investigators and cyber police, established that the developer company concluded preliminary contracts for the purchase and sale of apartments in an apartment building with citizens.
However, after the conclusion of the agreements, the construction work did not continue, remaining at the stage of construction of the house. For a long time, dealers called different deadlines for the continuation of construction and commissioning of the object. Realizing that they had been searched, citizens turned to the police.
So far, the police have identified 190 victims who invested in the construction of apartments from 450 thousand to 1.3 million UAH.
On August 30, the owner of the developer company was informed of the suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 190 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Further collection of the evidence base is carried out to attract other persons involved in fraudulent actions.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of three to eight years.
