The border guard tells about the everyday life of military medics of the advanced surgical group.

After graduating from medical college, she worked in a private clinic, but after the full-scale invasion of the Rashists in Ukraine, Orisya went to pound the thresholds of staffing centers, where she was constantly denied, they say, young.

And the girl wanted to save the life and health of the defenders of Ukraine. She came across an advertisement for the Steel Frontier, filled out a questionnaire and was soon mobilized. She informed relatives who did not approve of the aspiration of a military career even before leaving for the military unit.

“Mom starts to cry, grandmother is worried, her husband said that I was “humiliated”, dad said that this is not a woman's business, although now he is delighted with what we are doing,” Orisya says about the reactions of relatives.

Some time after her studies, Orisya got into an advanced surgical group. This is perhaps the most crucial extreme challenge in the career of a doctor and border guard Orisya accepted it. The girl says that they operated near the front line. The burden on the medical staff was incredible, and the responsibility was assessed by the lives saved.

Orisya says that the greatest number of patients fell when the enemy simultaneously conducted active actions at the front and attacked civilian objects. Sometimes more than 90 patients passed through an advanced surgical team per day: military, rescuers, doctors, civilians — including children. The nurse says that in such cases they were helped by combat medics and ambulance doctors, who delivered patients to the station. Seeing such a load, Orisya urges people with medical education not to hesitate, but to mobilize. It also encourages donors to donate blood, which is constantly needed in an advanced surgical team.

Orisya talks about a case when the dedication of the medical staff, we can say, performed a miracle. They were approached by an almost hopeless patient in a state of agony. Thank God, there were not many concessions back then. During the life of the warrior, a brigade of doctors fought for 12 hours: five surgeons, three operating nurses, an anesthesiologist, an anesthesiologist. The patient had a state of clinical death three times, doctors opened his ribs and three times with a direct massage started the heart.

“Twenty donors, great blood loss, I don't even count plasma, but we pulled it out,” recalls the border guard.

However, not all cases end in a happy ending. The most dramatic was the situation when the brigade tried to save a soldier whose injuries were incompatible with life. When surrendering, the soldier's uniform was cut off and his smartphone fell out and rang almost all the time. Due to the busyness and sterility, the medical staff did not heed the calls, and when the patient was pronounced dead, the anesthesiologist picked up the phone and read the message that the dead soldier had a son.

But most of all Orisy was remembered by the border guard of the “Steel Border”, who was wounded in the heart. The splinter pierced the warrior's myocardium and pericardium. The soldier was brought to the station in a matter of minutes by the deputy commander of the Border Rapid Response Command and this efficiency helped save the life of the wounded. Doctors performed a complicated open-heart operation, and stabilized the border guard. A little later, Orisya even asked about the fate of her brother, who by that time had already undergone a successful operation in Kharkov, was making amends and even joking.
