Optimization of the movement of trucks across the Ukrainian-Polish border continues
Representatives of Ukrainian and Polish border and customs services held a working meeting.
The subject of discussion was the procedure for the implementation of transit operations of trucks with a permissible maximum weight of more than 7.5 tons, without cargo, at the place of the planned checkpoint for the road connection “Nizhankovici-Malhovice”.
The participants of the meeting defined the main tasks and directions of further cooperation, which, first of all, will speed up the implementation of transit operations of freight vehicles and reduce waiting time in the queue.
It was also emphasized during the meeting that for the proper functioning of border traffic it is necessary to provide an appropriate number of representatives of border and customs services.
At the same time, the parties agreed that the start of the freight crossing at the checkpoint “Nizhankovici-Malhovice” will take place after the completion of all organizational and technical works aimed at comprehensive preparation of temporary infrastructure from both the Ukrainian and Polish sides.
At the end of the meeting, Ukrainian border guards thanked their Polish colleagues for their fruitful cooperation and all-round assistance at such a difficult time for Ukraine.
