During the day, the units of the State Emergency Service carried out 173 visits to eliminate the consequences of shelling by the occupiers of settlements and infrastructure facilities, 5 fires were eliminated. Psychological assistance was provided to 259 people.
Also, for April 17, pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service were involved 154 times, 1 thousand 438 explosive items were detected, seized and neutralized, an area of 161 hectares was surveyed.
For reference: since the beginning of the war, 89 thousand 663 visits were made to eliminate the consequences of shelling, 14 thousand 306 fires were eliminated, 3 thousand 999 people were rescued, and psychological assistance was provided to 210 thousand 489 people.
In total, since the beginning of the large-scale military invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, 346 thousand 899 explosive items and 2 thousand 891 kg of explosives have been defused, including 2 thousand 206 aircraft bombs. The area of about 82 thousand 468 hectares was surveyed.
