Operational information on the consequences of the conduct of hostilities of the Russian Federation and the work of pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine
During the day, the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service were involved 140 times, 309 explosive objects were detected, removed and neutralized, and the territory of 56.62 hectares was surveyed.
On August 21, the units of the State Emergency Service carried out 205 sorties to eliminate the consequences of shelling by the occupiers of settlements and infrastructure facilities. 22 fires have been destroyed. Psychological assistance was provided to 50 people.
Most often, pyrotechnic units worked: 21 thousand 944 times in Kharkiv region, 8 thousand in Kyiv region. 477, Donetsk region — 7 thousand 469, Mykolaiv region — 5 thousand 756, Kherson region — 7 thousand 072, Chernihiv region — 4 thousand 865, Sumy region — 2 thousand 401, Cherkasy region — 1 thousand 252.
In total, since the beginning of the large-scale military invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, 423 thousand 525 explosive items and 2 thousand 892 kg of explosives have been defused, including 3 thousand 82 aircraft bombs. The area of more than 92 thousand 557 hectares was surveyed.
For reference, since the beginning of the war:
— 112 thousand 581 visits to eliminate the consequences of shelling were carried out; — 15 thousand 864 fires were eliminated; — 4 thousand 297 people were rescued;
— psychological assistance was provided to 225 thousand 511 persons.
