Operational information on the consequences of the conduct of hostilities of the Russian Federation and the work of pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine
During the day, the units of the State Emergency Service carried out 61 visits to eliminate the consequences of shelling by the occupiers of settlements and infrastructure facilities. 22 fires have been destroyed. Psychological assistance was provided to 75 people.
On August 20, the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service were involved 4 times, 3 explosive objects were detected, seized and neutralized, and the area of 0.04 hectares was surveyed.
Most often, pyrotechnic units worked: 21 thousand 902 times in Kharkiv region, 8 thousand in Kyiv region 468, Donetsk region — 7 thousand 444, Mykolaiv region — 5 thousand 742, Kherson region — 7 thousand 047, Chernihiv region — 4 thousand 856, Sumy region — 2 thousand 397, Cherkasy region — 1 thousand 248.
In total, since the beginning of the large-scale military invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, 423 thousand 216 explosive items and 2 thousand 892 kg of explosives have been defused, including 3 thousand 82 aircraft bombs. The area of more than 92 thousand 501 hectares was surveyed.
For reference, since the beginning of the war:
— 112 thousand 376 visits to eliminate the consequences of shelling were carried out; — 15 thousand 842 fires were eliminated;
— 4 thousand 297 people were rescued; — psychological assistance was provided to 225 thousand 461 people.
