Operational information on the consequences of the conduct of hostilities of the Russian Federation and the work of pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine
During the day, the units of the State Emergency Service carried out 204 visits to eliminate the consequences of shelling by the occupiers of settlements and infrastructure facilities. 22 fires have been destroyed. Psychological assistance was provided to 51 people.
On August 9, the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service were involved 145 times, 361 explosive objects were detected, seized and neutralized, an area of 47.28 hectares was surveyed.
Most often, pyrotechnic units worked: in Kharkiv region — 21 thousand 549 times, Kyiv region — 8 thousand. 403, Donetsk region — 7 thousand. 243, Mykolaiv region — 5 thousand 656, Kherson region — 6 thousand 828, Chernihiv region — 4 thousand 832, Sumy region — 2 thousand 380, Cherkasy region — 1 thousand 220.
In total, since the beginning of the large-scale military invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, 420 thousand 191 explosive items and 2 thousand 892 kg of explosives have been defused, including 3 thousand 74 aircraft bombs. The area of more than 92 thousand 218 hectares was surveyed.
For reference, since the beginning of the war:
— 110 thousand 623 visits were made to eliminate the consequences of shelling; — 15 thousand 663 fires were eliminated; — 4 thousand 249 people were rescued;
— psychological assistance was provided to 224 thousand 666 persons.
