Online service “Availability of license plates” restored
Drivers have a choice of both paid and free license plates.
According to the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Bohdan Drapyaty, no intermediaries are required to select and issue license plates:
“If representatives of the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or third parties encourage you to give them an “incentive” for the desired license plate, notify the law enforcement agencies.”
To search for a number there are two algorithms:
presence in the area; numerical combination.
By selecting the first criterion, you can view the free license plates that are located in the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and CNAs in a particular region. At the same time, get information about the value of the sign and its location.
The second criterion allows you to independently specify the desired combination of numbers. The check is carried out among all service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and CNAPs, and the result (about the availability of the number) appears on the screen.
Importantly, the price for paid license plates is indicated on the website without taking into account the value added tax of 20% and the cost of special products.
The list of current numbers is automatically updated in real time. This means that after the license plate is fixed on the vehicle in the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it will automatically cease to be displayed in the online service.
Currently there is no booking in the functionality. Therefore, before you go to register a car, it is better to choose several options for license plates at once. So you will definitely be sure that the desired combination will get to you.
“The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is preparing draft regulations that will regulate the possibility of booking license plates online,” added Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Bohdan Drapyaty.
