Together with the Russian military, “LPR” militants set up a “prison” in the premises of the Volchansk Aggregate Plant in Kharkiv region, where citizens with an active pro-Ukrainian position were brought from the surrounding settlements, in particular those who refused to cooperate with the occupiers.

Among the victims of the occupiers are the elderly. From the prisoners they “knocked out” information about the opponents of the occupation and the military Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Investigators of the National Police of Ukraine established the involvement in these war crimes of a former employee of the public order protection officer of the Rubizhansk city department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Luhansk region and a citizen of the Russian Federation, the so-called senior authorized department for combating illegal drug trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the self-proclaimed Ministry of Internal Affairs by “LNR”. They took instructions from agents of the Russian FSB, coordinated and participated in interrogations of prisoners in the torture chamber.

People were illegally kept in uninhabitable conditions, beaten with rubber sticks, fingernails ripped out, and tortured with electric shocks.

In addition, executioners threatened their victims with murder and simulated their execution by blindfolding captives and firing firearms near their heads. So they were held for months, some of the prisoners were illegally held for more than six months. People who endured these horrors marked their days in captivity and scratched on the walls torturous icons and words from prayers.

Under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General, they were informed of the suspicion of violation of the laws and customs of war, accompanied by the cruel treatment of the civilian population committed by a group of persons (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of this crime provides for up to 12 years in prison.
