Six Russian soldiers are suspected — National Police

In March 2022, while in the village of Bohdanivka, the occupiers mistreated the civilian population, using force and threatening weapons, looting their property and taking away valuables.

Investigators of the Main Investigation Department and police officers of the Department for the provision of activities related to hazardous materials, of the National Police of Ukraine, who carry out operational support of the investigation, collected evidence of involvement of six more Russian servicemen in war crimes in the Kiev region.

These are four servicemen of the military unit 89547 239 of the 90th Guards Tank Regiment of the Central Military District and two servicemen of the military unit 45863 of the 30th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the tactical unit of the Russian Ground Forces of the 2nd Guards Army of the Central Military District.

In the course of the investigation, it was established that the Russian occupiers broke into people's dwellings and, intimidating the owners with massacres, took away everything of value — from household appliances, gadgets, jewelry to linen and hygiene items. As a rule, they took money, food, alcohol, perfume. They did not even scupper electric toothbrushes.

After breaking into one of the houses of the village, a Russian soldier fired in the room and beat the owner with a machine gun, and then took 400 hryvnias.

At the end of March 2022, retreating, the war criminals took the looted to the territory of Russia.

The National Police collected evidence of the involvement of six Russian servicemen, they were informed of suspicion of committing crimes provided for in Part 1 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of the laws and customs of war). The sanction of the article provides for up to 12 years in prison.

Procedural guidance is carried out by prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
