In order to easily and quickly issue an ID card, you should follow these simple tips from the employees of the State Migration Service of Ukraine.

  • Every citizen of Ukraine who has reached the age of 14 is obliged to obtain a passport for the first time. If this is not done before the age of 18, then you will have an additional procedure for establishing the identity.
  • You do not have an identification code - you will order it at the time of registration of your passport for the first time
  • When registering in the electronic queue, you can pay for the service online. This will speed up the procedure for submitting documents for registration of a passport. However, do not forget to provide the DMS employee with a printed receipt.
  • If within a month after reaching 25 or 45 years old, you did not have time to paste a photo in your passport (until February 24, 2022), then you will be obliged to exchange your passport for an ID card. However, during martial law, you can paste a photo at any time.

Add the following documents (if available):

  • about the place of residence;
  • about marriage or divorce;
  • about changing the name;
  • taxpayer card, etc.

This is necessary so that the contactless electronic medium of your ID card contains the above information.

Important - the finished passport is stored in the migration service unit until the martial law is lifted. However, it is better to get the document on time.
