One dead, 11 wounded in shelling by Russians in Kharkiv and Kherson region
Over the past day, the Russian military has been shelling Kharkiv and Kherson regions. The settlements of Bogodukhiv, Kharkiv, Chuguivsky, Izyum and Kupyansk districts of Kharkiv region shelled settlements and from the left bank of the Dnieper, Russian troops insidiously shelled peaceful communities of Beryslav and Kherson districts.
The occupiers shelled the village of Zahrizove in Kharkiv region. A 44-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man were injured there. They are hospitalized. As a result of shelling of the city of Volchansk and the village of Vilcha, Chuguev district, residential buildings, and buildings of a civil enterprise were damaged. In the city of Kupyansk, private houses and outbuildings were damaged.
In addition, the Russian military fired from a tank the town of Kozacha Lopan, Kharkiv district. Damaged house and power lines. Only in the morning of August 19, the Russians inflicted about 12 strikes on the town of Kozacha Lopan. Information on casualties and destruction is being clarified.
Meanwhile, from the left bank of the Dnieper, Russian troops shelled Ukrainian settlements with rocket systems of salvo fire, artillery, mortars, tanks and UAVs.
From the RSVV “Grad” the occupiers shelled the Virivka of the Tyaginskaya hromada. A 17-year-old girl was injured. At least 10 residential buildings were damaged as a result of the shelling. And in Mykhailivka, as a result of artillery shelling, a 73-year-old local resident was wounded. Osokorovka was also under artillery fire, a 50-year-old man was wounded there.
From drones, the enemy dropped ammunition on residential quarters of Beryslav. Two 35-year-old men were wounded there.
In Burgunka, police came under tank fire. The service car received mechanical damage, law enforcement officers were not injured.
In Dnipro, the building of the Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate was damaged by Russian shelling.
In Romashkovo Bilozersk community, a house was damaged and a 48-year-old local resident was injured as a result of artillery shelling.
In addition, Russian troops once again subjected Kherson to a massive shelling. The occupiers raided civilian properties, residential neighborhoods of the city center and suburbs. The explosions damaged apartments in high-rise buildings, private houses, shops and cars.
In Antonovka, a 74-year-old man was killed during artillery shelling. Women aged 73 and 74 were injured, as well as a 92-year-old man.
In both regions, on the facts of violation of the laws and customs of war, investigators opened criminal proceedings under Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
