Odin is more than a friend: the story of a service dog from Mariupol
National Guard Maxim and Odin have been working together for a little more than a year, although they have been acquainted for more than 4 years. In total, the dog is already six. Odin has a difficult fate. This is the dog of Maxim's friend and brother from Mariupol.
“He is a very contactable, intelligent dog, prudent, balanced, quick-witted. He thinks everything over and does it very quickly, and then acts just as quickly. You do not pay attention to the fact that it is smaller in size than the others. He compensates for this with his mind!”, - says Maxim and all this time he looks respectfully at his fellow man. Odin at the same time listens with interest to the owner.
Only during the war on the account of this “guard” Odin: 9 grenades found at the block-posts, more than 900 rounds, one and a half kg of cane, a Kalashnikov assault rifle and a Makarov pistol with cartridges.
“This pistol was wanted in the Sumy region, and one of its shells even appears in a criminal case related to the murder of a person in the Odessa region,” Maxim respectfully lists Odin's merits.
When asked what Odin is for you, Maxim answers: “... Friend. No, even, more than a friend! ... I don't know... After all, he is my brother's friend and friend!”
Odin remembers everything, he is very bored and sad. You know, he has qualities that people lack,” Maxim adds.
For significant achievements, Odin was awarded the Medal for Service Dogs “For Dedicated Service” of the 2nd degree.
