Odessa guards continue to improve knowledge and skills
With the commanders of units of the 11th Brigade of the Mikhail Hrushevsky National University of Science and Technology for three weeks they held cyclical demonstration classes. The main topic was the elaboration of the actions of the light infantry platoon in the offensive on rough terrain with the use of armored vehicles.
“Using the Military Grid Reference System and the NATO Troop Leading Process, we worked out the types of offensive maneuvers such as circumvention, encirclement and withdrawal,” the class leader said.
The National Guards dealt with such issues as the work of the platoon commander and branch commanders, the practical development of intelligence, covert movement in the terrain, fire support of the offensive groups, the neutralization of the sabotage and reconnaissance group and the evacuation of the wounded from the combat area.
The purpose of these exercises is to provide commanders with certain knowledge to use it so that each member of the unit understands and is aware of his actions in a situation of any difficulty.
