Head of the enterprise seized by the Russian occupiers in Kherson: the investigators of the National Police announced the suspicion of a traitor
The defendant voluntarily went to cooperate with the enemy and took the post of acting director of the so-called “unitary state enterprise “Khersonoblenergo”.
During the pre-trial investigation, it was established that an employee of JSC “Hersonoblenergo” voluntarily cooperates with representatives of the country - the aggressor. In particular, he collected, prepared and transferred material resources and other assets of JSC “Hersonoblenergo” to the Russian invaders. For this, the occupiers appointed a 45-year-old man as acting director.
At the moment, he has been informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 1 of Art. 111-2 (Assistance to the aggressor state) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 12 years.
Pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings is carried out by investigators of the National Police Service of Ukraine together with SBU staff under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
