Shelled Ukrainian ambulance carriage and blown up on a mini fire truck became objects of installation in Brussels
In one of the squares in the Belgian capital, an artifact was opened, which had previously been presented in the cities of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The symbolism of the chosen exposition site is obvious. To the attention of residents and guests of Brussels, an ambulance carriage was shelled in the Kharkiv region and a fire engine blown up on a mine near Kiev are presented.
“These shelling cars, which helped the wounded and saved from the fires, are direct testimony and proof of Russia's daily atrocities, aggression and terrorism against Ukraine,” said the temporary attorney for Ukrainian affairs in the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Natalya Anoshyna, Hamburg.
The action is carried out within the framework of the LukRaine asbl initiative “Ukraine is calling” (https://ukraineiscalling.com/), supported by the Embassy of Ukraine in Belgium and Luxembourg, which aims to raise 10 million euros for the purchase of 112 ambulances and fire engines.
Ukraine is now in dire need of such transport in order to save the lives of its compatriots due to daily shelling and bombing by the Russian occupiers.
The event was attended by, in particular, First Vice-President of the European Parliament Otmar Karas, Vice-President of the European Parliament Mark Angel and MP Christoph Hansen, as well as Head of Delegation of the European Commission in Luxembourg Anna Calto.
The organizers hope that other European countries will respond to this action in order to draw attention to the fact that Russia's brutal war against Ukraine continues.
