Transactions with real estate worth almost UAH 70 million: Odessa police reported suspicion to participant of OZG
Attackers on the basis of forged documents re-registered the ownership of objects.
The operatives of the strategic investigations department in the Odessa region and detectives of the investigative department of the regional police exposed the illegal activity of the group of persons.
It was established that the defendants, using fake passports of citizens, produced a package of documents for real estate in their name. In the future, they turned to the participants of the transaction - state registrars. They, having access to the relevant databases, registered real estate on counterparties, which was then sold to third parties.
Under this scheme, the members of the group illegally seized and sold real estate in the amount of UAH 46 million.
In addition, in June 2022, they tried to sell the building and land worth UAH 22 million. Then they were exposed by an employee of the USSR and police detectives, reported the suspicion, and the organizing court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention with the right to deposit UAH 46 million in bail.
In the course of further investigation, evidence of involvement in the fraudulent scheme of the state registrar was obtained. This evidence became the basis for notifying him of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 362 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized change of information processed in an automated system, committed by a person who has the right to access it, committed repeatedly, which caused significant damage).
Procedural management is carried out by the Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office. Exposure measures were carried out jointly with the USBU.
