Transactions with real estate for 45 million hryvnias: in Odessa law enforcement officers stopped the activities of a criminal group
The attackers were detained while trying to sell the building and the land under it for 600 thousand US dollars.
During the pre-trial investigation, it was found that a group of persons, forging passports of citizens, produced forged documents for real estate in their name and, with the help of familiar registrars, registered the ownership of real estate with forged documents, and then disposed of this property, issuing it as their own.
Thus, the organized criminal group fraudulently sold real estate objects that belonged to a state-owned enterprise and citizens, receiving for them more than 45 million hryvnias.
The detectives of the Investigative Department of the GUNP in the Odessa region together with the employees of the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Odessa region of the DSR NPU and the employees of the Security Service of Ukraine put an end to these machinations. Law enforcement officers detained intruders when they received from the buyer part of the money in the amount of $10,000 as a deposit and seized forged passports, documents for real estate, cash, computer equipment, with which forged documents were produced.
At present, employees of the Investigation Department of Particularly Serious Crimes of the Investigative Department of the GUNP in the Odessa region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office announced suspicions to a native of Kharkiv region and two residents of Odessa region.
They are suspected of fraud, that is, the possession of other people's property or the acquisition of the right to property by deception committed on a particularly large scale by an organized group (Part 4 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) using knowingly forged documents (Part 3 of Article 28, Part 3 of Article 358, Part 3 of Article 358, Part 1, Part 3, Part 3 of Article 358, Part 1, Part 3, Part 3 of the Code of Ukraine) .3 Article 358 of the Criminal Code). For these crimes, men face imprisonment for a term of five to twelve years with confiscation of property.
One suspect has already been placed in custody, another court today opted for a precautionary measure in the form of detention with the right to post bail in the amount of more than 46 million hryvnias. The investigation is ongoing.
