Defenders of Mariupol, Azovstal and Bakhmut — a group of border guards went to support the Ukrainian boxer (VIDEO)
Today in the Polish city of Wroclaw will take place the duel of the Ukrainian champion Alexander Usyk with the Briton Daniel Dubois. Ukrainian border guards also went to support the athlete.
Among the invited more than thirty representatives of the Kramatorsk, Lviv, Lutsk, Izmail border detachments, the academy and one of the training centers of the border agency, who participated in the defense of the cities of Bakhmut and Marinka, the defense of Mariupol and “Azovstal”, which passed through captivity.
All of them will support our compatriot in the stands of the Polish stadium.
It is known that the start of the fight is scheduled for today, at 23:00 Kyiv time.
Recall, before the battle of the looks of the boxers Alexander Usyk unfurled a flag with the inscription “Bakhmut Fortress. Salty Earth. Iron men.”
On this flag are the signatures of the soldiers of the 11th border detachment and other units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces of the fortress city of Bakhmut.
It should be noted that recently the defenders of Bakhmut presented Alexander Usyk with a unique icon. The border guards of the Lviv detachment, to which Alexander had previously visited, thus decided to inspire the boxer to victory and thank him for his support.
The icon, at the request of the warriors, was performed by the artist Alexander Klymenko. The artist depicted on the boards from under the ammunition box the Mother of God as a talisman for our athlete.
