The defense of Bakhmut continues: the road of life, close fighting and the ruined city
The border guards, along with other defense forces, continue fighting for Bakhmut. Despite all attempts by Russian troops to surround the city, communication with the settlement remains. Representatives of the “Wagner” PVC have repeatedly stated about the lack of ammunition necessary to continue the offensive, but, as the defenders of the city say, they do not feel any interruptions in the supply to the enemy.
The city is under constant attack of large calibers. Russian artillery is causing massive destruction in residential buildings, not counting the civilians who still remain in Bakhmut. Despite significant losses, slowly, the occupiers continue to advance, causing the distances between the sides to be reduced to a few meters in some places.
Passing the road of life, to the question of the customer whether it is already Bakhmut and how they passed, the border guard Fedor answers: “How they passed, so they passed, with God's help... It is very difficult, you see for yourself. Very difficult, but we drive. Because it is necessary, we carry out combat tasks.”
