Exchange of experience and improvement of educational programs according to NATO standards: officers of the Academy visited the military university of the Republic of Latvia

Representatives of the National Guard Academy visited the National Defense Academy of the National Armed Forces of the Republic of Latvia. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the activities of the educational institution and to continue and expand the cooperation that was started earlier.

“I am glad to welcome you to our school. I consider our cooperation very important and promising for today. Therefore, we are ready to tell you about our system of education and training of future officers, to acquaint you with training programs at different levels of training and to discuss our further cooperation. You will also have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the capabilities of the military base of the mechanized brigade of the Ground Forces of the National Armed Forces of the Republic of Latvia,” Lieutenant Colonel Maris Utinans addressed the Ukrainian delegation.

The Academy representatives demonstrated the capabilities of the military base of the mechanized brigade of the Land Forces of the National Armed Forces of the Republic of Latvia and familiarized with the training material and technical base.

“During the familiarization with the educational process, our Latvian colleagues invited our representatives for a more in-depth study of the process of teaching and teaching the L2 level course. For which we are very grateful to them and we will definitely take advantage of this opportunity, - the First Deputy Head of the Academy of NGU for Educational and Methodical Work, Colonel Vladislav Yemanov, shared his impressions of the visit. - We plan to focus on the issues of exchange of experience in training officers in the field of performance military functions, training and training of scientific and pedagogical workers, applicants for higher education in various fields and joint development of educational programs according to NATO standards.

During the visit, representatives of Operation “UNIFIER” of the Armed Forces of Canada also discussed the possibility of involving representatives of the National Guard of Ukraine in the training process in order to exchange experience and teaching practice in the direction of the military decision-making process within the framework of the courses to be conducted for the training of officers of the headquarters of the battalion level of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
