Arranged checkpoints with the occupiers and supported the actions of the aggressor country: suspected collaborator reported
Law enforcers reported the suspicion of a 44-year-old man who, during the occupation of Volchansk, Kharkiv region, repeatedly publicly endorsed the actions of the President of the Russian Federation and denied committing armed aggression against Ukraine.
In addition, the suspect considered it correct and legitimate to extend the sovereignty of the aggressor country on the territory of Ukraine. He assured the local population that Russian Armed Forces soldiers do not fire on nearby settlements and civilians. And he assured that the shelling is carried out exclusively by servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Also, the man called on the local population to help the servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and personally repeatedly helped equip enemy checkpoints.
On November 22, law enforcement officers in absentia informed the man of suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 111-1 (collaborative activity) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for the deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of ten to fifteen years.
