Lunch with the First Lady, a walk through the zoo and gifts from Patron: the Ministry of Internal Affairs awarded the children of war heroes
On June 12, the charity event “Children Heroes” took place, the purpose of which is to celebrate children who showed themselves during the war, help the Ukrainian army or suffered from the aggression of the Russian invaders.
This time, 8 brave little patriots gathered at the capital VDNG, where together with military mentors they went to the Midgard Equestrian Club. There, the children were able not only to get acquainted with the horses, but also to ride horses. In memory of the owner of the Midgard Equestrian Club Oleg Popov presented themed gifts to boys and girls.
However, the walk did not end there. Birds, raccoons, llamas, lemurs and many other animals awaited the young winners at the contact zoo. The children, along with their mentors, fed them, contacted and photographed them. Unfortunately, there was no one in the contact zoo, but closer to lunch everyone went to reinforce themselves before the official award, and in the restaurant of the participants of the action “Children of Heroes” a surprise was waiting.
Unexpectedly for the children and their parents, guests came to the premises of the restaurant: First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Kateryna Pavlichenko.
Eight winners of the charity event “Children Heroes” initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine spoke with Elena Zelenska, talked about their plans, in particular, 17-year-old Valentin Chorny shared which educational institution he plans to enter this year. And Solomiya Reut on her soprano, thanks to which she collects money for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, performed the melody “Two colors”.
The First Lady in memory gave each laureate gifts, namely tablets. However, gifts for children were not the last.
On the territory of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, all participants were already waiting for dog walkers with four-legged companions and special equipment near which children and their parents were constantly photographed.
There were only a few minutes left until the official part. With marked excitement, the laureates, their parents and mentors entered the ballroom. Greeted everyone was the star presenter Timur Miroshnichenko and the dog Patron, who quite pleased the children.
All winners of the event were congratulated by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Kateryna Pavlichenko, presenting the children with certificates for the language camp in the Carpathians from the sponsors of Study.ua. Study.ua representative Oleksiy Horban noted that now it is very important to take care of the condition of our children and give them the opportunity to relax.
And this did not end with pleasant surprises for the young participants of the charity event “Children Heroes”, because they were greeted with their songs by Ukrainian singers - Anton Velboy and Dantes.
