Caution — danger on ice!
The last two days news feeds have been filled with information about the search for a 7-year-old boy from Kyiv region. Rescuers and all units of the Kiev police were involved in the search for the child. Unfortunately, on December 4, the child's body was found in the Irpin River.
At the same time, we urge parents to explain to children the rules of behavior on water bodies and the dangers of going to the ice, because negligence can have irreparable consequences.
Already now the weather is testing Ukrainians with frost and snow. And this means that the first ice appears on the reservoirs. However, many people, without waiting for a stable frost, begin to go out on the ice, thereby risking their own lives.
We advise you to follow the rules of behavior on ice:
- you can go out on the ice only in stable frosty weather;
- it is necessary to cross reservoirs in specially designated and equipped places for this;
- it is forbidden to go out on ice, the thickness and strength of which are unknown to you;
- it is forbidden to ski from a steep bank to ice untested for strength and thickness;
- It is forbidden to gather on ice in large groups in one place.
In addition, you should not go out on the ice under the following conditions:
- in case of rapid flow of the river in this place;
- during the spring location of snow and ice, as well as a strong temperature drop during warming.
