New conditions for the import of pets to Poland will be effective from July 25
The introduction of new conditions for the import of pets from Ukraine to the Republic of Poland has been postponed from July 16 to 25 - the State Service for Consumer Protection and Consumer Protection reports.
So, from July 25, 2022, the introduction of domestic animals (cats, dogs and ferrets) accompanied by their owners or guardians (authorized persons) into the territory of the Republic of Poland from Ukraine will be possible subject to the following requirements:
-the animal is identified by means of a microchip; -the animal has a valid vaccination against rabies, which was carried out not earlier than the date of
microchipping; -the animal has a valid passport of the European model, which is issued by the veterinary institutions of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection and confirms the above operations.
To simplify the procedure of crossing the border, the Polish customs and veterinary services will not require a certificate of health status and the results of testing the level of antibodies against rabies carried out by the titration method.
In case of further movement to a country where such a test is necessary, the pet owner can conduct testing in Poland. The costs of research and other necessary veterinary procedures are borne by the owner of the animal.
