Passport number and series: where to look
Specialists of the State Migration Service of Ukraine explain how to find the series and passport number of a citizen of Ukraine in the form of a card. On passports in the form of a book, they are perforated on all pages on the right side of the cover from above. On these documents, the passport series is denoted by two letters, and the number is six digits.
But on the ID card only its number is indicated. Such passports do not have a series, so you do not need to look for it.
The following information is placed on the title page of the ID card:
- photography,
- surname and name of the owner of the document in Ukrainian and Latin transliteration, patronymic,
- gender
- citizenship,
- date of birth
- entry number (unique entry number in the registry, UNZR),
- valid until (+10Y from the date of issue), document number (passport number, 9 digits)
- Signature of the owner

It is possible to issue a passport of a citizen of Ukraine in the form of an ID-card in the DMS departments, in the centers for the provision of administrative services (ASC) or the Passport Service of State Enterprise “Dokument”.
