“No one should be left alone with trial and grief,” the commander of the NGU met with the relatives of the captured defenders
Recently, the commander of the National Guard of Ukraine Brigadier General Oleksandr Pivnenko held meetings with the relatives of the Mariupol defenders, who were captured.
During the meeting, problematic issues that most often arise in the families of captured servicemen were discussed. Also those that relate directly to the process of exchange and comprehensive support of those released from captivity, creating for them all the conditions for a multi-stage process of rehabilitation and return to normal life.
“Legal, social and material support for the families of servicemen who are in captivity or who are missing are among our tasks. Interaction between different structures and with unit commanders works. No one should be left alone with trial and grief,” Oleksandr Pivnenko said.
Such meetings are important not only for the exchange of information, but also for the support and cooperation between the leadership of the National Guard of Ukraine and the families of servicemen.
Recall that since the beginning of the year there have been 2 large exchanges of prisoners of war. Within the framework of these exchanges, more than a hundred servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine, including the defenders of Mariupol, were released from captivity. Many more of our heroes remain in captivity, waiting to return home.
At the state level and in the direction of the structures responsible for this direction, work is underway to return all our captives.
