“As a result of the Russian aggression, today we have more than a thousand smashed police cars, more than 500 rescue vehicles, more than 250 destroyed police departments and rescue stations and dozens of destroyed objects of the State Border Service of Ukraine, which are located on the border with Russia and Belarus. Therefore, at present, our efforts are concentrated on their restoration,” the minister stressed.

In addition, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that German specialists can also help Ukrainian forensics in conducting examinations on the identification of the bodies of the dead, which are found in the de-occupied settlements of Ukraine.

The head of the German Ministry of Internal Affairs Nancy Fuser informed that in her opinion, the EU should create a joint European mission for demining in Ukraine. It intends to initiate the creation of such a mission during a meeting of EU interior ministers in June.

The Federal Minister expressed solidarity with Ukraine and strongly condemned numerous facts of violation of Russian international law. She assured of Germany's unwavering support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine against the background of Russia's military aggression.

“We are with Ukraine because you defend our values. We will try to do everything we can for support. At the EU level, we will continue to help you,” Nancy Fuser said.

Denis Monastyrsky thanked Nancy Fuser for her active stance on supporting Ukraine in confronting the aggressor country, for the humanitarian assistance provided by the German side to bodies and units of the National Police and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

“The security of the integrity of Europe's borders directly depends on the cooperation of our units. We highly appreciate the unprecedented changes in European legislation, which made it possible to provide humanitarian assistance and shelter to citizens of Ukraine who have been forced to leave their homeland due to Russian aggression,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine stressed.
