Unbreakable, unconquered, unstoppable: The legendary “Azov” turns 9 years old
Now “Azov” has become an assault brigade of the “Guard of Offensive” as part of the National Guard of Ukraine. At the moment, Azovets are conducting a massive recruitment campaign — recruiting volunteers who are eager to take part in offensive actions soon.
The legendary unit, which during the Russian invasion of Ukraine became the center of defense of the city of Mariupol and continued to heroically maintain the Azovstal plant. “Azovets” liberated Mariupol in June 2014, took part in battles near Ilovaisk. Then they defended Mariupol, carried out an offensive on Shyrokyne in February 2015. “Azov” is also known for the fact that it effectively performed tasks in the area of the ATO, and subsequently within the framework of the operation of the Joint Forces. In particular, the forces of the unit conducted a successful Pavlopil-Shyrokinsk operation in 2015, performed a number of successful combat tasks in the area of the Svitlodar arc.
Behind the back of the personnel there are many heroic deeds, feats and victories. Together with the brothers from the Armed Forces, they defended the Ukrainian lands. The unit successfully destroyed dozens of units of Russian military equipment, militants, and also protected numerous objects of strategic importance on our territory from the occupier.
Today, Azov is one of the most capable units of the Ukrainian army, whose fighters possess professional skills at the highest level, have the latest weapons and equipment and the same thirst for victory.
Recall that the soldiers of the National Guard are a specific component of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, they professionally destroy the Russian invaders on all borders and directions, where fighting for the will and sovereignty of Ukrainian lands is being fought.
