Construction company illegally seized: 13 people reported suspicion
Among the suspects are the CEO of this company and notaries. The defendants seized property and corporate rights of the construction company in the amount of UAH 85 million.
The operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations and the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in the city exposed the illegal activities of a group of persons. Kyiv and Kiev region of the National Police together with the investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the SBI. During the pre-trial investigation, it was found that the general director of the construction company, having enlisted the support of notaries, illegally seized the property and corporate rights of the enterprise using forged documents.
During 2019-2021, the defendants carried out illegal registration actions using forged notarial documents. The total value of illegally alienated property, corporate and property rights is UAH 85 million.
On September 14, law enforcement officers simultaneously conducted 19 searches of the places of work and residence of the defendants in the case. They seized electronic media, seals and documentation confirming illegal fraud.
In addition, 13 defendants were declared under Part 3 of Article 206-2 (illegal possession of property of an enterprise, institution, organization) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As part of the pre-trial investigation, the possible involvement in the specified crime of other defendants who are currently abroad is checked. The investigation continues under the procedural direction of the Office of the Attorney General.
For the crime, intruders may face up to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
