Accidents on unlit streets are increasing. In the last month alone, 120 pedestrians died in Ukraine. 100 of them became victims of car accidents in the dark. To teach children how to protect themselves on an unlit road, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs went to one of the capital's schools and started the action “Do not get lost in the dark!”.

Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky joined the initial training. “We talk about simple things that save lives, protect our health. A very simple flicker tape — saves lives. With it you can be seen on the road 120 meters away. Without it at night for 30 meters, the driver will no longer see you,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized.

Police and rescuers will hold such actions in other schools in Ukraine. By the way, during the training, attention is paid to other, equally important, safety issues, in particular, how to act if someone finds an explosive object.
