The priority is to develop the tactics of actions of small and medium groups in open and urban areas using armored vehicles, heavy weapons and air reconnaissance capabilities, as well as demining territories and providing medical care.

On armored vehicles and in full equipment, the special forces went to the training ground in order to work out combat tasks, including the detection of sabotage and reconnaissance groups and the detention of dangerous criminals, in conditions as close as possible to the real ones.

According to Ivan Khudoba, Deputy Head of the Department of the “Operational and Sudden Action Corps” of the National Police of Ukraine, the war made adjustments to the training of personnel, because many new areas of work appeared:

“This concerns the study of heavy weapons - grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, the use of UAVs. Time and conditions dictate to us what to do and in which direction to train. We do not stand still, develop, train, prepare and defend our country. It is not for nothing that they say: train as you will fight, fight as you train.”

During the training, special forces will work out the tactics of actions of small and medium groups in open and urban areas, as well as demining territories and providing home medical care.

“Such training helps to improve the combat coordination of units, to work out the algorithm of joint actions and to be ready to perform all tasks, - Ivan Khudoba is convinced. According to the legend of these exercises, KORD fighters “cleaned” the city buildings from the Russian invaders. Despite the fact that the enemy is conditional, all the actions of the unit were as close as possible to the real ones.

“We try to conduct classes in such a way that everything is as close as possible to the real circumstances that may arise. The most difficult thing is to move where there are mines and stretch marks. Therefore, the group is doing it very carefully with the involvement of explosives engineers who deport the territory.” - noted the deputy head of KORDU.

During training, the fighters used armored vehicles and heavy weapons. In order to accurately calculate the enemy by coordinates - they engaged air intelligence. The actions of the special forces were coordinated by the operational headquarters.

The head of the exercises, the head of the capital's KORD, said that such trainings are conducted constantly, and the successful completion of any task depends on the readiness of the fighters:

“Of course, the training and combat situation makes its own adjustments. Shots, explosions, wounded, a lot of data from different positions. In this environment, it is important to quickly navigate and make the right decision. An important element during such exercises is the ability of fighters to communicate with each other at positions and exchange information - only then can the task be safely and qualitatively completed.”

Training, as close as possible to real tasks, is important for fighters, because they give an opportunity to test their skills and strength and work out all the algorithms in practice.

“Such meetings improve the combat and service cohesion of the units. For us as a police special unit, this is always relevant, because our priority is to work in the city, in residential areas and buildings. Of course, there were mistakes, but in general, everyone worked perfectly,” the special agent noted.
