Narcolaboratory with a profit of 5 million hryvnias: Kyiv police officers detained a group of people
The accomplices manufactured and sold alpha-PvP salts and amphetamine in bulk batches through bookmarks or mailings. When the drug dealers realized that their criminal activities had been exposed by the police, they set fire to the house in order to hide the crime. As a result of the arson, the defendants failed to destroy the drugs and precursors. Violators face up to 12 years in prison for a drug offense.
During the documentation of the criminal activities of the Telegram channel on the sale of drugs, the police identified intruders who organized a drug laboratory and a warehouse for storing manufactured products on the territory of the Vyshhorod district.
Such a scheme was organized by a native of Chernihiv region, who involved a laboratory assistant in the production and financed the business. Violators sold drugs in bulk through bookmarks and postal items in the territory of the Kiev region and the capital. During the search, the police discovered and seized about 3 kilograms of alpha-PVP salts, about 2 kilograms of amphetamine, more than 100 liters of precursors, various containers, laboratory and chemical utensils. From the seized funds, the attackers could produce about 50 more kilograms of psychotropic substance.
“They thought they would destroy the evidence. But everything but the equipment and psychotropics burned to the ground. Now these “geniuses” will also be responsible for the deliberate arson of property,” the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko wrote in his official Telegram channel.
Law enforcers established that the total value of the seized funds at the prices of the “black” market is 3,000,000 hryvnias. In addition, the monthly profit from such activities amounted to more than 5,000,000 hryvnias. Two accomplices, born in 1980 and 1984, were detained by investigators under the order of Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Now the police are establishing a channel for the supply of precursors. In addition, the issue of notifying detainees of suspicion of intentional arson of property is resolved. The pre-trial investigation continues.
