Emergency workers complete rescue work in a hostel destroyed by shelling in Kharkiv

On August 18, an enemy missile partially destroyed a four-story hostel building in the Slobidsky district of Kharkiv city. Within two days, employees of the State Emergency Service carried out search and rescue work.

Today at 13:00 the work was completed. Emergency responders managed to rescue nine people, two of them children.

The bodies of six dead people were recovered from under the rubble. Among the dead was a boy born in 2009.

40 rescuers worked at the scene and 10 units of the fire and rescue equipment of the National Emergency Service were involved.
