The algorithm for the interaction of the police and other units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs during emergencies was carefully worked out the day before during the tactical and special exercises in the Kherson region. This was announced today, February 17, by the deputy head of the National Police Alexander Fatsevich during a briefing in the Ukrinform news agency.

Alexander Fatsevich first of all recalled that since February 14, the police have been transferred to a strengthened duty regime. 20 thousand policemen, including those armed with automatic weapons, go out on the streets of cities, to patrol the roads. They carry out selective inspections of citizens and vehicles.

“All these measures are carried out for peace and security, including to identify criminal elements and representatives of the enemy who may be involved in sabotage attacks,” Oleksandr Fatsevych said.

According to him, the units of the National Police and the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are coordinated and ready to respond to all internal risks in the state. The algorithm of actions was carefully worked out during joint tactical and special exercises in the village of Kalanchak, which is located on the administrative border with the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. During practical exercises, law enforcement officers worked out joint actions of responding to emergencies, as well as ensuring law order in case of mass riots, blocking communications, seizing critical infrastructure facilities, and neutralizing armed criminals.

“We have developed common algorithms of action, and therefore we will not let such scenarios play out in any town or village of our state,” the deputy head of the National Police summed up.
