The National Guardsmen took the children of their dead brothers to the first class
The National Guards took six-year-old David to the first class in Khmelnitsky. He is the son of a deceased fellow soldier. Guardsman Vitaly says that it is a great honor for him to accompany the son of his comrade.
“I know very well and understand how important it is to feel sincere support on the day when you are on the verge of something big and unknown,” Vitaly said.
The father of the first grader is Sergeant Vasilenko Mikhail Vladimirovich. He died in the spring of 2022 while performing a combat mission in Mariupol. The wife of the deceased man thanked the National Guard for their support.
Little David is well disposed to study, gain knowledge and develop. He dreams of becoming a military man and knows that for this you need to be educated, brave and confidently go to his goal.
And in Rivne, Sofiika, the daughter of the deceased serviceman Andrei Bakhtin, went to the first class. He also died in the spring of 2022. The man was awarded the Order “For Courage” of the third degree. From the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he volunteered to defend Ukraine in the ranks of the National Guard.
Brethren from the Rivne part of the National Guard came to support the schoolgirl along with her family.
“It is touching and extremely honored to be here today and to hold Sofiika's hand. I remember her father Andrei, he was a very positive and persistent soldier,” says guard Ilya.
In addition, on the Day of Knowledge, lyceists and teachers honored all Ukrainian heroes. Guard Ilya, together with the children of the deceased soldiers of the NGU and the Armed Forces, Sofiika Bakhtin and Anatoly Mamchur, released pigeons into the sky - a symbolic letter of thanks to all the dead defenders of Ukraine.
