Our indestructible Frankivsk National Guardsmen received honorary awards “Man of the Year 2023” during the “Circle of Friends” event in Ivano-Frankivsk. This award is a recognition of the extraordinary courage, courage and dedication of our heroes who have steadfastly defended our state from the beginning.

One of the awardees is a guardsman, junior sergeant Vasily Goliney, who has served in the National Guard in the Donbass battalion since 2014, and since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in the 50th Regiment named after Colonel Semen Vysochan. Vasily has already suffered two injuries, the first of which he received back in 2014 in Ilovaisk. Now he is undergoing rehabilitation, but his unbreakable spirit and will do not fade. His example embodies the true strength and steadfastness of the Ukrainian warrior.

“The real strength of our country lies in its unification. Your support is not only a material help, but also a huge moral one. Knowing that my city stands shoulder to shoulder with me gives me extra motivation and strength to overcome difficulties. It is very important to know that there are people around who take care of us, defenders, and try to do everything possible for our full recovery. You give us hope for a better future and show that our sacrifices will not be in vain,” says guard Vasily.

Also among the laureates is Major Alexei Kashmar, who has been destroying Russian occupation forces in the Luhansk region for several months and continues to do so. His skill and dedication are always impressive and we are grateful to him for his uncompromising fight for our freedom. The award for Alexei was received by the commander of the Frankivsk unit of the National Guard.

We cannot forget our chaplain, Father Roman Kostrabius, who endlessly supports the warriors of his unit spiritually and morally. Father Roman has already made more than 15 trips to the front lines to provide spiritual support to our guards. His presence and prayers always give strength and hope to our warriors who fight for our common victory.

The National Guards of the 50th Regiment named after Colonel Semen Vysochan have been investing their strength and themselves since the beginning of the war in 2014 and continue to do so now. Their unwavering spirit and dedication is an example to us all.
