National guards of the Spartan brigade shot down a Russian assault rifle SU-25
On the night of March 6, as a result of the combat work of the PZRK “Perun” in the Donetsk region in the Bakhmut region, soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine at a distance of up to 4 kilometers shot down a Russian attack aircraft Su-25.
“The enemy raider covered the infantry from the air, which advanced on the line of defense of the defenders. The PZRK calculation opened fire and shot down a Russian armored assault vehicle. Through the thermal imager it was seen that the plane was hit and it went down, the fate of the pilot is currently unknown,” said the commander of the Partizan division.
“We worked out the target from Perun, we picked up the plane and it began to change the direction of flight. From the southeast, he made a maneuver to strike at our positions, and after the hit, he changed his trajectory and began to make a sharp turn to the east, after which he fell behind the crossing line,” said the PZRK operator, Roman.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, from February 24, 2022 to March 08, 2023, the Russian occupation forces lost 303 aircraft in the war against Ukraine.
