Donetsk police chief visited police officers in the hottest spots in the Bakhmut area
Ruslan Osipenko checked the service and provision of personnel stationed in Chasovy Yar and Toretsk. Under air bomb attacks, police officers stay close to residents: they record the consequences of Russian strikes, rescue the wounded, carry out evacuations.
During the working trip, the police received humanitarian assistance from the Department of the Main Inspectorate of Police of the Ternopil region.
Due to the proximity of the Toretsk front and Chasiv Yar are constantly under fire. In addition to artillery and RSFs, Russian aviation works in residential neighborhoods, turning houses, enterprises, hospitals into ruins. The Toretsk police station was destroyed. However, the police are on the scene and performing their duties. After all, in Toretsk there are about 8 thousand inhabitants, including children who need help.
The working visit of the head of the National Police to the Donetsk region was also held under the explosions of the “Gradov” tapes - the occupiers shelled the road. Despite this, the humanitarian cargo was successfully delivered and distributed to the outfits. Help from Western colleagues was personally brought by the Head of the Main Inspectorate of the Donetsk Police Roman Torbin.
“The conditions of the law enforcement service are extremely complex, but everything functions, everything works. I do not cease to thank our strong police officers in Donetsk region,” the head of the regional police said.
Ruslan Osipenko spoke with employees on duty in investigative and operational teams at checkpoints about their needs. I made sure that the policemen were provided with protective equipment — helmets, body armor. In the combat zone, protective equipment wears out quickly, so it has to be updated. Uninterrupted communication has been established, additional fortifications are being built.
