In Transcarpathia, law enforcement officers blocked the channel of illegal transportation of men of conscription age abroad
Ten men who intended to illegally cross the Ukrainian border, as well as six people who ensured their transportation, were detained.
A group of men who were restricted from leaving Ukraine by age during the martial law, were stopped a kilometer from the border with Hungary, near the village of Vilok, Beregovsky district.
Law enforcers established that a native of Luhansk and five residents of Transcarpathia organized the transaction. The day before, the evaders were taken to the border, where they planned to cross the river using an inflatable boat. For such a “voyage” each of the detainees had to pay the dealers up to $5,000. The defendants in the case were detained hotly — during attempts to move citizens across the border. In the near future, they will be notified of the suspicion and will choose a precautionary measure. It is worth noting that one of the defendants in the case under consideration in the courts has several criminal proceedings for committing drug crimes as part of an organized criminal group.
Also, in the course of urgent investigative actions, a joint interdepartmental group conducted a series of searches in the private homes of the investigation participants, as a result of which money, mobile phones and vehicles used for illegal purposes were seized.
Measures to expose the criminal group and detain offenders were carried out by the operatives of the Chopsky and Mukachevo border detachments together with the employees of the Uzhgorod Regional Police Department and the Department of Migration Police of the GUNP in the Transcarpathian region under the procedural guidance of the Uzhgorod District Prosecutor's Office in the city criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code “Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine”.
